Garrett is an educator, international development worker, and field researcher who has spent the past 15 years supporting community-led approaches to development. He has led programs on co-creation, human-centered design, systems practice, leadership, and grassroots community development in China, Colombia, Guatemala, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Myanmar, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Ukraine, as well as throughout the U.S. He currently serves as Pact’s Senior Innovation Officer, providing technical support for the design of development programs across Pact's full portfolio. In addition, Garrett works with businesses, non-profits, and donors to develop and test innovative approaches to development. Garrett has lectured and led collaborations with a number of universities, including Stanford University, Tulane University, and Ringling College of Art + Design. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Liberia, helping to rebuild the country’s education system following their civil war.
